Tuesday May 27:
Today we woke up early to take a 2 hour bus ride to Pria de Forte (literally Fort Beach). Here we saw the “oldest building in the new world” which was the home/palace of the Portuguese royalty that came when they first began settling the area. It had a beautiful view and was neat to see. We then went to a sea turtle exhibit where they have each type of sea turtle that visits the Brazilian coast and there was a map with all of the different species and routes they take in between Africa and Brazil and the Carribean islands.
We had the rest of the day to relax on the beach, although it was not as peaceful as Morro since the waves and the currents were extremely powerful and the shores/sea floor were very rocky. It was still fun. We got a few drinks by the ocean and hopefully got some more sun so it was a nice day.
